Result was 1-1 with QPR scoring in the first half and HandY equalising in the second. Don't think the game was as interesting as the Wycombe one myself and provided Mr Haylock doesn't field his entire reserve team, the game against Maidenhead on Tuesday may give us more useful pointers for the season. We are still lacking up front - Ruby came on as a striker after halftime - and while the midfield acquitted itself well enough they don't strike me as helping itself to goals this season with the possible exception of Peter Holmes who, along with Cadmore, stood out for United today. Welsh on the left wing seems to be easily knocked off the ball. Pierre Dubois looks like Mulley but there the similarity ends. But he scored the leveller and I hope we keep him as he brings something different. I was struck by Nathan Webb coming on and making a useful fist of right back and Hand and Pritchard showed on occasion although the former faded as the game wore on. Anyway, on to Tuesday when I think we can form firmer opinions of the players Haylock has brought in after the last three games. Hope this helps.

Yes, he bought Ruby on up front in the second half, didn't actually do too bad actually. I noticed the difference when he bought Adam Green on, he seemed to get forward more and he had a final product in his crosses, one of which set up the goal. I think we should really keep getting the ball wide and putting crosses in.

Don't think there was an awful lot of difference between Green and Deen actually. Both attacked well, particularly Deen in the first half while Deen seemed to keep closer to his winger. Doesn't matter either way to me. Wonder what happened to Haynes and the Sierra Leone international?

Right first time, Deen was left-back

Anyone slightly worried about the new keeper? Looked like he was knackered after 15 minutes! Maybe he was saving himself for Fulham's London masters team last night!
Other than that I think the team is looking fairly good. Maybe just a goalscorer and then I think we'll be safe by Feburary. Midfield 3 looking good, Pritchard, Holmes and Hand.
Next 3 friendlies should give a bit more indication for who the starting XI will be come 14th August.

I see that Hampton & Richmond had a crowd of 964 for their game against QPR last Saturday.

What was the cost of admission at H&R? Maybe that had some bearing. Even if it was less than £10 they probably made a killing in bar and burger sales.
