While the welcome apology has been duly accepted, it must be noted that those kind of comments illustrate why the club might not choose to take contributions on this forum seriously, an observation made in a different thread fairly recently. We can't have it both ways.

I have also received a private apology from Mr Reasonable, which I have accepted and am happy to move on from the incident. He has been a good supporter of the club, going to home and away matches for many years. Whilst he only meant the comment as a joke, a public forum was not the right place. However, a number of us (including me) have made the odd wise crack at times and then regretted the consequences.
Hopefully this can be a lesson to us all, about thinking before we open our mouths.

Lets move on, enjoy the forum, and continue to support the club.

Sorry Nick, but I feel your statement is a tad unfair and sounds like a lecture . This forum is actually full of some fantastic contributions and most of the time of a good nature when it comes to banter. If the club decide not to take fresh opinions and views on certain issues , then so be it. I've given up giving free advice as the club are single minded anyway. This forum actually gets alot of traffic when you consider our fan base. And every know and again someone gets upset on heated debates that often appear on here. Mr R is a top man and he has made not only a public apology, but two private ones as well, which must be commended. :hello:

In my opinion Nick the club is getting further away from it's fan base anyway and are not interested in what is written on the forum.

I also feel the club has slowly become more and more detached from the fan base over the past few years and it has led to me feeling less and less interested in supporting the club.

The lack of information that filters from the team management is disappointing at times, I understand some of the reasons why but it seems that the secrecy is over-employed sometimes.

I feel sorry for Nick and Kev as they seem to get fed very little information for the website but they are the first in the line when the site gets attacked on here

What have we heard since the begining of the season about anything important to do with the club?

I am sure there is alot of hard work going on at the club, but I also feel it needs to keep the supporters more informed of whats going on.Looking at other clubs websites in this division their managers are making comments about players they have signed and also of the friendlies that they have played.
During the season Gary has done the monthly interviews and was also good enough to explain his plans at the Supporters Club meeting, but I think we still should have some feedback during the close season.
If any new supporters were browsing, with the intension of visiting next season there isn't much there to encourage them.

To be honest, there hasn't been much happening to report on the playing side of things. Garry made us aware that this would be his policy at the beginning of the summer.

I probably do come across as a bit of a lecturer on here. I actually agree with a lot of the constructive views, but I guess I've fallen into the role of "devil's advocate" a lot of the time. Things can always be done better and any club who believes that they can't is not a well run club.

Congratulations to John McDonnell MP, who won the 50/50 draw at the Bath game today with a share out of £97.

Well done Sir.John, but what I would like to know is what do you have to do/pay to have your winnings hand delivered to you behind the goal as never having won this wonderful competition, I assumed we had to manualy check our numbers and climb all the way top the stand to collect?

Hello ex spain

In answer to your question. The number had been called out 3 times and was unclaimed. I just went behind the goal to make sure that everyone had heard the number and checked their tickets. That way, I was able to distribute the winnings and then able to watch a bit of the game. Not a bad game it was...

Thanks to everyone who supported the 50/50 at the Crawley game. The share out of £90 was won by a young H and Y Utd supporter (did not get his name) who said the money would come in handy for going to the game against Luton.

I was not around last Tuesday for the game against Forest Green Rovers, but the 50/50 was covered by Barbara and John Bond. The share out was £101, which is high for a mid week game. It was won won by a regular H and Y supporter called Graham, so I've been told.

Contrary to rumour, John McDonnell did not use his 50/50 winnings from the other week to launch a take over bid for the club. He perhaps needed a second win to be able to do that!! Ha... I spoke to him on Saturday, and he actually donated the whole amount to The Pakistan Flood Appeal. Well done John for supporting a worthy cause.

What a magnificent gesture by Mr McDonnell. And such a worthy cause. It would have been easy for our MP to have gone for the easy option and donated his winnings to something like 'Help the Heroes' but no, he has stepped outside of the comfort zone and given his prize to a country that has in no way contributed to the terrorism affecting the World as we know it. Well done :clapping: .
